a splendid REFIT PROJET ReALISed by DREAM RACER BOATS team
The Dream Racer Boats team is very proud to present to you this technically challenging and exciting work.
« We are proud to have designed this new interior layout for an owner who is an experienced yachtsman and has high quality requirements », says Yves Lereste, the design manager of Dream Racer Boats.
« We designed the interior for top performance, without compromising the comfort or aesthetics, using lightweight materials and innovative construction methods. The owner was involved in designing the interiors and the spaces that he wanted, while keeping the identity of the Pogo » explains Thibaud Ramond, the director of Dream Racer Boats.
THE LARGEST SAILING BOAT OF THE POGO STRUCTURES SHIPYARD
The Structures shipyard builds fast sailboats adapted to the open sea and short-handed crews. Their modern sailboats range from 30 to 50 feet, and are pleasant and accessible to all. This n°2 in the Pogo 50 series had previously belonged to an association. It needed a serious refit to return to the open sea. The vessel had already accomplished a long voyage around the world in inhospitable regions. Additionally, a forced rest of a few years exposed to the strong Brittany winds had taken its toll on the boat.
premium and custom REFIT for the POGO 50
The new owner was looking for a high-end, tailor-made layout. It should be suitable for a large family, while respecting the criteria of lightness and durability. Our work focused on designing a modern and warm atmosphere, by combining gray cedar with solid oak. We designed large, light surfaces that contrast the anthracite gray floors.
. The use of PET foam sandwich panels enabled us to meet the customer’s limited weight requirements. Additionally, we used noble materials for the veneers, the massifs, and the worktops.
We opted for textile shelving units, wardrobes, and doors for most of the high storage units. The goal was to keep the boat light. The textile canvas is woven with carbon fiber and colored stripes. This reminds of the fittings and the decoration of the hull of this unique boat. The same goes for the selection of the high-quality hardware, accessories, and lighting.
