Présentation of the Rover 12
Designed by Pierre Delion, the first Rover 12 was built by the Bord à Bord shipyard in Brittany. The partnership between the two parties is not new. Indeed, the naval architects’ agency designs boats for pleasure craft and professionals. While Bord à Bord is a shipyard that builds aluminium boats for individuals and professionals. Aluminium has many advantages such as quality, strength, aesthetics, and flexibility. It is also eco-responsible because aluminium can be recycled at 98%. They have many nice projects to their credit.
The first Rover 12, Fleur de Sel, was launched for the first time on 4 July 2021. This 12-metre boat can be used for pleasure boating or approved as a NUC (commercial vessel) for up to 12 passengers. Designed in aluminium, the houseboat is powered by a Suzuki 2 x 325hp engine from Loc Marine Service.
The Rover 12 is considered to be an excellent taxi boat and also an ideal boat for pleasure boating, sea trips and costal cruise. The layout is bright, simple and functional. Her is available in 1 or 2 cabin versions. Its latest generation hull gives her a very seaworthy behavior, excellent wave passage and a natural stability, both in navigation and at anchor. Rover 12s are considered to be sea 4x4s thanks to their versatility. Discover now the first Rover 12 model where Dream Racer Boats has collaborated with Pierre Delion and Bord à Bord to create an interior design.
Fleur de Sel – Materials adapted and resistant over time.
This 12-metre boat will sail in the south of brittany. Fleur de Sel will be used both as a taxi boat and also as a cruise boat, from Port-la-Fôret to the Glénans islands. The choice of materials is mainly based on their durability due to the intensive use of passenger ships. Our team opted for oak to create a warm and rich admosphere. This wood is very resistant over time.
A design created and imagined for this Rover 12
Dream Racer Boats was asked to design and manufacture the interior of this ship. Summary view allowed the customer can projet in his future boat with a selection of founitures proposed by Dreams Racer Boats.
To create the interior of Fleur de Sel, our team worked with 3D’s boats. The intervention took place remotely: the boat remained in its home port. The interior fittings of this Rover 12 were made entirely in our workshop Dream Racer Boats.
The design chosen for Fleur de Sel combines robustness and quality. It is therefore pleasant to live aboard in comfort and serenity. White is also used on the walls, worktops, benches and some small fitting such as the wasbasin. This neutral colour enhances the other colours and highlights the oak fourniture. It also bring light and serenity to the room. This gives the room a pleasant feeling of being at home. The white colour makes the space visually larger, wich gives a sense of volume to this 12-metre boat.
There is a bright and functional saloon, a kitchen equipped with 2 stoves, a sink and plenty of storage space. The bathroom includes a washbasin. The cockpit is also in keeping with the interior layout. The configuration of Rovers offers many possibilities, Fleur de Sel has its own identity. The configuration is a mixture of passenger transport and private cruiser.

The Rover 12 is a very multipurpose boat. Her offers a wide range of customisation options, both in terms of interior layout, technical equipment, and interior and exterior finishes. There are also numerous configuration possibilities: sport fishing, cruising, passenger transport, etc. The interior fittings are customised to suit the owner’s wishes. You can find different layout modules and optional equipment according to your needs and desires: (furniture for fishing, outdoor plancha furniture, sunbathing area, etc).
