But when it comes to refurbishing the interior of a boat&#8230; That&#8217;s the <strong>innovative<\/strong> side of Dream Racer Boats, a company specialising <strong>in boat refits<\/strong> based in the Villeneuve-Braouic business park in Quimperl\u00e9 (Finist\u00e8re).<\/p>\n<p>Founder and director of Dream racer boats, Thibaud Ramond is determined to ride the wave of <strong>ocean-going and workboat outfitting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to broaden the scope of his work, which has proved its worth on Figaro 2 racing boats.<\/p>\n<p>His design partner, Yves Le Reste, is at the helm, <strong>designing the owners&#8217; dreams, even from a distance<\/strong>. Alongside them, Ga\u00e9tan Beaumont, who trained in mechanics and production engineering, has left the world of food processing to design the plans for the electricity and water networks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/Yves-Le-Reste-et-Thibaud-Ramond-innovent-au-sein-de-Dream-racer-boats\" data-wplink-url-error=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21040\" src=\"https:\/\/dreamracerboats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Yves-Le-Reste-et-Thibaud-Ramond-innovent-au-sein-de-Dream-racer-boats.webp\" alt=\"Thibaud Ramond Director Dream Racer Boats\nYves Le Reste director DRB CONCEPT\" width=\"940\" height=\"705\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Yves Le Reste and Thibaud Ramond are innovators at Dream racer boats, offering made-to-measure boat fitting kits to private customers. | OUEST-FRANCE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Based in Quimperl\u00e9 (Finist\u00e8re), Dream racer boats was set up in 2018 to give racing boats a second life. Today, it aims to <strong>refit boats for private individuals, with plans and construction kits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Imagined and designed in Quimperl\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>Everything is imagined and designed in the Quimperl\u00e9 design office and produced&#8230; <strong style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;\">Elsewhere in the world, in Japan or Quebec.<\/strong> \u2018It&#8217;s a relationship of trust that develops with the customer,\u2019 says Yves Le Reste. The study is done here, and he does the assembly there. <\/em> <\/strong>\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>To ensure that the customer assembles everything properly, he or she will be provided with precise plans, a list of materials, from screws to glue, the necessary tools and an assembly plan. \u2018<em><strong>Our aim is to provide private customers with a professional building site<\/strong><\/em>,\u2019 says Thibaud Ramond.<\/p>\n<h2>A niche market<\/h2>\n<p>Dream racer boats is betting on the future by entering the private boat refit market. \u2018<em><strong>Boat refit is a niche market and it&#8217;s up for grabs<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The company intends to broaden its range of skills to include more than just the Figaro 2.<\/p>\n<p>They have already renovated around ten of the thirty or so boats on the list. \u2018We don&#8217;t want to wear the Figaro 2 hat. We want to go further and <em><strong>position ourselves as a <a href=\"\/?p=19325\">blue water cruiser <\/a>and <a href=\"\/?p=17805\">workboat<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2>Dream Racer Boats\u2019 Innovative Projects<\/h2>\n<p>The design office is currently working on a workboat, which will be built at the <a href=\"https:\/\/meta-yachts.com\/en\/\">M\u00e9ta yacht<\/a> shipyard near Lyon.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It&#8217;s a boat for scientists on Lake Geneva. We <strong>propose the layout to divide the space as evenly as possible<\/strong>, with cupboards, sinks, etc. We supply the plans and the flat-pack wood kit.
