On board a boat, it’s important to be well organised. That’s why we offer a range of products to meet your needs. You’ll find a wide range of accessories and equipment for boat storage and interior fittings.
Our range of textile fittings
Dream Racer Boats invites you to discover its range of textile fittings. Our aim is to offer unique products. That’s why our design office customises different items to meet your wishes. Sizes are made to measure, according to your needs. We prefer to recycle sails to give them a second life, but you can also opt for a new sail.
equipment to fit out your boat
First of all, there are the équipets. These textile storage units can be used on boats. They can be installed in different places: in the cockpit, in the hold, in the saloon or in the boat’s cabins. With numerous storage pockets, they have a wide range of functions. They are ideal for storing everything from small electronics, ropes, cranks and torches to tools, board games and sunglasses.
There are many ways to personalise your textile fittings. You can choose the horizontal or vertical format and the number of compartments. You can also choose tab or eyelet fastenings, as well as velcro or stainless steel turnbuckle fastenings. As for the colours, you can choose those for the sail, braids and stitching.
Hanging system
The padeyes allow you to attach the equipment to all types of surface. Once in place, you can always remove your storage units, making them easy to clean. Dream Racer Boats makes padeyes in its workshops from composite offcuts. The advantage of a composite padeye is that it is very light compared to a stainless steel padeye. Yet its workload capacity is just as high. The composite padeye adapts easily to your boat to meet your needs. Its integration is very discreet, but you can also choose to highlight it with colour.
A wardrobe to fit out your boat
Then there are our textile wardrobes. They make it easy to organise the interior of your boat. You can put them in the passageways, in the saloon or in the bathroom. From clothes to towels, you’re sure to find plenty of things to stow away in them! They’re quick and easy to install, and can be fitted in a cupboard, on a partition or behind a door. To fix them in place, you can use a rod system at the top and padeyes at the bottom.
When it comes to compartments, you can choose between different layouts. The shelves are made from rigid panels covered in voile. A wide choice of colours is available to personalise your interior.
Bedding storage covers
We also offer storage covers for your duvets and sheets. These covers increase your storage space. So you save space in your cupboards. What’s more, the covers ensure long-term storage because they are airtight and waterproof. So your bedding won’t mildew, which limits the growth of bacteria.
OTHER TEXTILE FITTINGS
You can also make other items of equipment using recycled sails. These include baskets to decorate your home and to store small accessories. We also make pockets for storing important documents, for example.
Your creations travel
This range was designed and developed for the ‘Baie du monde 2’ boat, a TS 52.8. We recently made these textile storage units for their boat, which is based in Martinique! To achieve this, we worked remotely : the boat remained in its home port and the textile fittings were made in Finistère. This boat is available to hire in Martinique.
This textile equipment is also used for charter boats. For example, équipets can be used to store kitesurfing equipment (kite bars), etc.
Our values
Our suppliers are carefully selected. Quality and short supply chains are two of our top priorities.
For our range of textile fittings, we reuse materials (sails, composites). This method of recovering materials is called ‘upcycling’. The choice of upcycling is both eco-responsible and economical, because the raw material already exists. For example, we re-use sails that can no longer be used or our composite off-cuts to make our padeyes.
We pay particular attention to the details of each piece of equipment. Our textile fittings reflect the visual identity of the boat.
For made-to-measure projects, the virtual simulation service helps you to visualise your future equipment or boat interior.
