Our range of textile fittings
Dream Racer Boats invites you to discover its range of textile fittings. Our goal is to offer unique products. That’s why our design office customizes various items to meet your specific needs. Dimensions are made to measure, according to your requirements. We prioritize recycling sails to give them a second life, but you can also opt for a brand new sail’s fabric.
Textile storage units
First, there are the lockers. These fabric storage units can be used on boats. Lockers can be installed in various locations: in the cockpit, in the hold, in the saloon, or in the cabins. With numerous storage pockets, they serve many purposes. They are ideal for storing everything: small electronics, rope, winch handle, flashlight, tools, but also board games, sunglasses…
The textile wardrobe with 3 storage compartments
To personalize your textile storage solutions, numerous options are available. You can choose between a horizontal or vertical format and the number of compartments. You can also select from tab or eyelet fastenings and various closures such as Velcro or stainless steel swivels. Regarding colors, you can choose the colors of the fabric, trims, and stitching.
Hanging system
Padeyes allow you to attach storage units to all types of surfaces. Once installed, you can still remove the units, making cleaning easier. The advantage of a composite padeye is its lightness compared to a stainless steel one, yet its load-bearing capacity is equivalent. The composite padeye easily adapts to your boat to meet your specific needs. Its integration is very discreet, but you can also choose to highlight it with color.
A wardrobe to fit out your boat
Next, you’ll find our textile wardrobes. They make organizing the interior of your boat easy. You can place them in the passageways, the saloon, or the bathroom. Clothes, towels—you’ll find plenty of room to store them! Installation is quick and simple and can be done in a locker, on a bulkhead, or behind a door. For mounting, they can be hung at the top with a rod system and at the bottom with padeyes. Regarding the compartments, you have a choice of different layouts. The shelves are made of rigid panels covered with sailcloth. A wide range of colors is available to personalize your interior.
Bedding storage covers
We also offer storage covers for your duvets and sheets. These covers increase your storage space, freeing up room in your closets. Furthermore, the covers ensure long-term storage because they are airtight and waterproof. This prevents mold growth and limits the development of bacteria.
OTHER TEXTILE FITTINGS
You can also make other items of equipment using recycled sails. These include baskets to decorate your home and to store small accessories. We also make pockets for storing important documents, for example.
Your creations travel
This range was designed and developed for the boat “Baie du monde 2” a TS 52.8. We recently made these textile storage solutions for their boat, which is based in Martinique! To achieve this, we worked remotely: the boat remained in its home port, and the textile fittings were made in Finistère. This boat is available for charter in Martinique.
These textile storage solutions are also used for charter boats. For example, the lockers allow for the storage of kitesurfing equipment (kite bar), etc.
Our values
Regarding our range of textile fittings, we reuse materials (sails, composites). This method of material recovery is called “upcycling.” Choosing upcycling is not only eco-responsible but also economical, as the raw material already exists. For example, we reuse sails that are no longer usable or our composite offcuts to make our padeyes.
We pay particular attention to each piece of equipment, focusing on the details. Our textile fittings reflect the boat’s visual identity.
