The Mercedes Sprinter 4×4, a rough-and-tumble van designed for long-distance trips with your partner, family or friends.
A subtle balance between know-how and technologies, craftsmanship and innovation.
A layout inspired by the 4×4 of the sea
The layout of the Fleur de Sel Motor Yacht, a Rover 12, definitely caught our customer’s eye. In the 4×4 of the seas genre, this new caravaning project from the Dream Racer Boats workshops is a real eye-catcher.
The project philosophy is all about reliability.
A layout designed for adventure
At Dream Racer Boats, when it comes to design, we like to take on new challenges! This Sprinter Mercedes 4 wheel drive L3H2, with specifications similar to those of the Rover 12 from the Bord à Bord shipyard, aims to have a good time in all kinds of conditions, but this time on dry land.

With regulations different from those of the boat, the DRB CONCEPT design office has been able to adapt to meet the standards of the converted leisure vehicle and thus offer a technical and tailor-made layout at the customer’s request. We note the same know-how that we are used to offering in boat layout such as the pivoting bed for the child. The choice of material and durable finishes with the curved wooden window frame coated with epoxy paint are also on the agenda in this new layout project.

A sought-after Rover 12 yachting atmosphere

Once all the characteristics have been validated, and the location of the equipment defined in compliance with current standards, we propose a material board to create the cozy atmosphere you’re looking for.
A bright, healthy atmosphere thanks to the use of natural materials. These include the insulation process and the finely selected wood used to furnish this unique van:
Laying panels of MADE IN FRANCE hemp wool from our neighbors Technichanvre.
The application of a sprayed cork using cork from our Landes forests, prepared by our friend Romain, creator of the brand Soliège.
The selection of natural oak from our French forests, prepared by Oberflex, a company with the EPV Living Heritage label.
Craftsmanship in the service of made-to-measure

The Dream Racer Boats team is constantly striving to improve its performance, and offers different versions of the following fittings:
Technical joinery: sandwich panel fittings to reduce overall weight. For an off-road project such as this Sprinter, the aim is to limit the weight of layout. Our highly resistant yet flexible bonding absorbs the strong vibrations that an off-road layout can undergo.
Traditional joinery: fittings made from water-repellent plywood and solid wood. The latter add a touch of quality and a pleasant feel to everyday life aboard the van.
These solutions can also be mixed to find the ideal compromise.
Now that the project has become a reality, all the fun is yet to come on future expeditions!

A unique Mercedes 4WD Sprinter with a warm athmosphere, where we played on different color tones. The panelling, with an appearance that brings out the wood grain, has a semi-gloss finish and, to the touch, a plasticized, easy-to-clean effect. For the ceilings, we chose to subdue the environment with the application of a matt lacquer giving a velvety, smooth effect to the touch.
