Custom-made design
This Semi-Custom sailboat offers a personalized configuration based on an existing hull model, with an interior and exterior layout designed by the DRBCONCEPT office.
From sketch to 3D rendering
The layout of this sailboat was made to measure. Each area of the boat has been studied carefully with the owner. This allowed us to develop new concepts. We can cite the seat of the doghouse which converts into a day bed
Interior design
The furniture veneered in textured European oak, combined with touches of white Fenix, brings brightness and softness to the interior of the sailboat.
From the selection of natural wood to the manufacturing of furniture
In this layout, we worked on both the traditional panel and the high-performance panel. The latter is reserved for the manufacture of parts where we were looking for lightness and space saving.
Traditional carpentry and technical parts
The sandwich panel requires artisanal know-how and an assembly technique different from traditional layout panels.
From sandblasting to fitting the fittings
For this project, the DRB team was in charge of the exterior preparation of the sailboat. We applied a high-end lacquer with an ultra-fine anti-slip coating that we usually apply to the decks of ocean race boats. This projected coating is very light to the touch. It stands out for its efficiency and its remarkable anti-slip properties.
Exterior preparation
This step is very linked to the interior layout of the sailboat. Our role is to anticipate future access to facilitate maintenance or access to the fittings.
From interior insulation to furniture installation
Two types of insulation are possible. The application ofsprayed cork with the installation of expanded foam boards or Blackfoam foam. The option chosen here is the projection of polyurethane foam with a finished insulation thickness of 60 mm.
The interior preparation
During the installation of the furnitures, the passage of the networks occurs simultaneously. Coordination with each actors and anticipation is therefore essential.

A Cordova 45 with a tailor-made interior for comfort like at home
On board, three private double cabins and a saloon convertible into a double berth ensure comfort and privacy. The raised saloon offers panoramic views, while a smart layout optimizes space and functionality.
